I've seen some really dumb Somalis. I've seen the plan vanilla dumb, the truly dumb and the-so-dumb Somali that dumbness itself has backed up its bags and vacated the premises in protest.

And then I saw on SSpot, the Hitler/facist/Neo-Nazi supporting Somalis.

Now, I know we are truly dumb people but I always gave Somalis credit for cynicism and skepticism which historically immunized us from making some truly dumb choices. I mean could you imagine a Somali be conned by Nigerian email prince-in-need scam? Never!

But it appears that world famous Somali cynicism/skepticim, probably the only redeeming character of the average Somalis, is deserting us. I'm seeing more and more SSpot members expressing sentiments that mirror StormFront and other Nazi websites.

What the hell is going on? Why are you folks supporting right-wing extremism when you are in the cross-hairs of these extremists?

You're going to have to provide more specific examples of what you mean by "supporting right-wing extremism"...
Majority of the pro Hitler/Neo-Nazi/Fascist stuff that some sspot members spew is just edgy humor. And among those few Somalis who are serious about such views...that kind of 'racism' isn't anything new, if we're being honest. The idea of pure lineage and of being superior to certain marginalized groups is more of an older generation mindset.

As other posters have mentioned, sometimes it isn't even rooted in racism nor is it some pathetic attempt to bootyclap Arabs and alt-right Whites. Rather, it is a refusal to abide by some pre-made victim narrative that tries to assign us an identity which doesn't actually belong to us (and by extension, tries to dictate how we should think, feel, and behave according to the rules of their identity politics). Both the left wing and right wing parties in the West have a eurocentric bias. How is being forced to participate in the Left's inaccurate system of classification any better?? NO to BOTH.

In addition, people are influenced by their environments...and not everyone here "lives in the cross hairs of these extremists"; the members you are referring to may not have encountered any of that. Regardless, those few people still can't represent all the Somalis on sspot...let alone the Somali population as a whole. You've made a very unreasonable generalization with all that "dumb" talk, tbh.
