Unlike what movies and dramas tell you. After the Crusaders savaged and looted the whole place Constantinople was a shell of its former self. Only reason it didn't become a dusty tuulo was because of its saving grace, location, which still gave it some revenue and business. The Ottomans took the city and refurnished it.

True but they really didn’t focus on developing Middle East or Levant or even eygpt like the old Arab empires did .
They didn’t focus on science hence why the Muslims nation went back unlike the western world
