A friend of mine said he was going tomorrow to the church to confess, get something out of his chest. I liked that idea.
I am firm believer that you should address your sorrow to Allah. “I only complain of my grief and sorrow to Allah' (12:86)
Even if you weren't feeling your best, we would not judge you. I understand the power of confiding in Allah alone when dealing with trials, but if circumstances befall you than it's better to focus on what to be grateful for, rather than focusing on woes. As humans, we have a tendency to overvalue the negative and downplay the positive. Not saying you do this. You might be one of those with more of a positive disposition.
I once read about a clergyman and his wife concealing information about a serial murderess.
I don't know very much about clergyman-parishioner privilege but I always thought it excluded certain acts.

Someone told me once to forgive them, they’d gone to their church to confess something that had happened between us. I thought that was really intriguing att, to be someone’s confession.
I asked him if the clergyman told him to do anything or gave him any advice, like did he tell him to ask for forgiveness (turned out it wasn’t all he was after), or did he just listen to him? He said, he listened to me go on and on, and he gave advice.
I remember thinking...so these church folk double as some form of therapist. I remember thinking the unburdening of all the communities transgressions on the few at the church who hear these things must give them some kind of window into their congregation that a sheikh would never have, and I wondered how it affects
them.
The thing about Islam is you’re supposed to conceal your sins, and ask god directly for the forgiveness you crave. Why isn’t that enough? Perhaps there’s a certain coldness to that, and it’s not as personable as you’d like it to be, but it seems like more of a honest process to me, bc you’re figuring it out yourself (though maybe some people only stagnate, and need to be heard and told what to do with their situation to grow).

In the catholic pagan tradition the clergy along with the Pope grant forgiveness on behalf of God.
The fundamental psychology behind all pagan polytheistic types of believes is a twisted satanic version of intersession.
In other words, your too dirty, sinful and corrupt to be talking to your creator directly and thus need some holy saint or bishop (dead or alive) as an intermediary to plead on your behalf.
The corrupt clergy of course perpetuate these believes because it's highly profitable for them.
But as corrupt as those people are, they at least believe in a creator, while you worship masonic satanists like Darwin, Copernicus and the rest of the fraudsters.
According to Christianity you have to confess your sins in order to be forgiven.on the other hand, Islam doesn't require you to confess your sins to another human being. You can repent and ask forgiveness in private without humiliating yourself in front of others.
U dont have to. U go to a therapy. Unleash everything on him or her, and walk out the office feeling like a pure angel.
It's a relief to confess your sins and be forgiven instantly by a minister according to the Catholic Christians but that only reaffirms the fraudulence and fakeness of that religion. How can someone other than God erase your sins?!! It doesn't make any sense!!.
It's ok to aspire to be rich but to want to die rich will land you in hell. Die penniless like the prophet and tell your children to do the same.
I feel sorry for christians genuinely. They reject the true religion and don't pray five times. Even a muslim that doesn't pray their deeds will be turned to dust. I ain't perfect either....just relating the message.
