People are gaming the system and bring these dogs everywhere 15 years ago I would really never see dogs in restaurants, schools, planes, buses, etc and if I did they were seeing-eye dogs.

Dogs are only haram to keep inside your homes, that’s it but are halal for herding and protecting cattle, security and hunting purpose, many Muslim countries in rural areas do this. They’re furiously loyal and even the Cave story have shown this and people still think worthless cats are more useful?

IMO, they get a bad reputation today because they’re being raised in the wrong environment, treating them as companions and confining them in a cardbox which is animal abuse. Large breeds have unlimited energy and are specifically bred to herd and protect livestock, guard areas, pull food carts, support the needs and hunt pest etc, they’re NOT meant to be family dogs. Smaller ones were used in wars and scent/sighthounds and the rest were perfectly capable of looking after themselves in the wild with their wolf cousins. They were given a long daunting task and large acres of space every single day which they enjoyed back then.

You can see how excited terriers (specifically bred to hunt vermins) are when they’re tasked to get rid of the rats in the farm. Sadly, they’re hated and stereotyped thanks to the madow thugs and white trash that brought them in the urban environment to brag about their toughness which resulted into many attacks on humans.
