Still not as bad as AY. If he invites ethiopian troops to kismaayo to fight against madobe and turn it into a wasteland, then he will be on his level. But he is getting there

If HSM uses those same ethiopian troops posted in gedo to go to Kismaayo and invade it, then he will be no doubt as bad as AY. I hope AS karbaashes the xabashis more so they f*ck off the fgs and JL troops dont have the heart to fight them they only know how to fight each other
well had it not been for Abdullahi Yusuf (AUN) you wouldn’t have a somalia to speak of. He was fighting your corner at great expense to PL, had a more ruthless and pragmatic ruler sat in the presidency of PL we would literally be independent.

He should have sticked with PL affairs and worry about his own state no one told him to care about what was happening down south. And we certainly didn’t need no Ethiopian stooge to make us “human” again
ICU wanted an islamic state based on their interpretation of Sharia law in all of Somalia. That includes PL and SL. They were always going to go up north.

ICUs goal was to create a unified Somali islamic state which included all of Somaliweyn, i dont see no issue with that. There were plenty of people in waqooyi who supported the ICU. You guys will probably argue that the ICU were qabilists because most of the leadership were Hawiye, but wouldn’t that be expected, given that the majority of the areas they controlled were inhabited by Hawiye?
If the ICU did manage to control all of somaliweyn, the leadership would have reflected the demographics and therefore it would be diverse and not be 1 qabiil majority. Even the ONLF who were mostly darood supported the ICU and im sure they wouldn’t have if they knew that the ICU were a “qabiil movement”.
The ICU were a government, not a rogue clan militia or terrorist group. The 6 months that they fully controlled most of the south, were the most peaceful, stable and orderly 6 months that the konfuur had seen in a while. Crime plummeted, justice courts were functional, aid was being evenly distributed to areas outside of xamar and no there were no more warlords doing isbaaros.
Now im not saying the ICU were perfect but if they were given time to develop and mature, they would have been the best thing to ever happen to Somalia. In just 6 months they transformed xamar from being a lawless no-go zone into a functioning city with new infrastructure being built everyday and the reopening of many public services. Imagine what they would have done in 20 years? We wouldn’t have been in this mess we are in today, thats for sure.
