The name Saylac ( Zeila ) is of Somali origin , not Arabic

There has been much debate about the meaning of the name of the Somali city Saylac ( Zila زيلع ), as some believe that it is of Arabic origin.
But in fact, the word " Zilla زيلع" is of Somali origin.

Somalia is the farthest tip / far side ( far corner ) of the African continent ( Horn of Africa / Geeska Afrika / dhinaca Afrika ) .

That is why the ancient Somalis called their country ( dhinaca / Geeska ) which means the ( side or horn or corner ) .
Because the shape of the Somali Peninsula resembles a horn that penetrates the ocean . ( dhinaca / Geeska ) .

Therefore, the word ( dhinaca ) is a description of the geographical location of Somalia and a description of the shape of the Somali Peninsula
resembles
a horn ( dhinaca / Geeska ).

( dhinaca or Geeska ) = the ( side or horn or corner ) .

As we know, the Somali letter ( dh ) does not exist in the Semitic language ( Arabic, etc. ) and is a very difficult letter to pronounce for non-Somali , so this Somali letter ( dh ) , which is difficult to pronounce for non-Somai speakers , is distorted with the letter ( z ) or other letters.

After replacing the Somali letter ( dh ) with the letter ( z ), the name of the city or territory ( dhinac ) was replaced with ( Zinac ) Zilac ).

dhinacjoog: Qofka agtiisa joogid.
dhinacsoco : Qof agtiisa socosho.
dhinacyee : Wax socda hal dhan ka marid.

dhinac dhinac : sideways .
dhinac : side .
dhinacfariiso : sit beside .
dhinacjoog : be beside someone or something .
dhinic : side , direction .

Another example :

The Somali word ( dhuxul طحل ) which means ( coal) became the word ( فَحْم faḥm ܦܲܚܡܵܐ‎ פֶּחָם‎ ) in Semitic languages .

Why ?

Because the Somali letter ( dh ) does not exist in the Semitic languages and is a very difficult letter to pronounce for non-Somali , so the Somali letter ( dh ) was changed in this case to the letter ( ف ) , so that the Somali word ( dhuxul طحل) became ( faxam فَحْم faḥam ) in Semitic languages .

dh f

dhuxul faxal faxam ( faḥam )

طحلفحل ← فحم

The same thing
,
the Hebrew word ( naxla نَحَلَا נַחֲלָה ) which means
inheritance is similar to the Somali word
( dhaxal طَحَلْ ) which means inheritance .

The same thing ,
the Arabic word ( zarāfa زرافة ) which means ( giraffe ) is of Somali origin .

Also, the letter ( z ز ) in the word ( zarāfa زرافة ) which means ( giraffe ) is a corruption of the Somali letter ( dh ) which has no counterpart in the Semitic languages ( Arabic, Hebrew, etc.) .

the Somali word ( dheerow ) which means long / tall .

dh z g
ow aaf

dheer → dheerow zeerowzeeraaf geeraaf giraffe

dh g
ow i

dheer → dheerowdheeri geeri geri

There are no sources, and your words are just speculation، Zaila, a clear Arabic word, and there is no dispute about that. The Somalis used to call it Awdal and Arab sayalac

Not everything found in Arabic dictionaries is of Arabic origin .

In ancient times, Arabic dictionaries were like Wikipedia today, where their mission was to compile , not to revise and sort, and they did not know the science of etymology .
In their biased view, everything is Arab in origin .

For thousands of years , all people believed that the Earth was flat , that the Earth was the center of the universe , and that the sun revolved around the Earth .
But with the development of science we discovered the error of these opinions .

Not everything that is written in the books is true , information needs to be verified and its reliability checked .

This was written by you in your topic, which has this title : Zaila is an Arabic name in origin

The name of the city of Zeila appears to be of Arabic origin
زيلع
1-نوع من الخرز تلبسه النساء
Zaila
A type of beads worn by women
الزَّيْلَعُ : خَرَزٌ تلْبَسُهُ النساءُ
Al-Zaylaa: Beads worn by women

What is the good reason why the Arabs called this Somali city after a kind of bead ?

Why is it not the opposite that the country of Zeila was famous for this type of beads ?
Then, due to the popularity of this type of beads, the Arabs named these types of beads after the city / country of Zeila .

However, due to the Arabs' difficulty in pronouncing the Somali letter ( dh ) ,
the Somali letter ( dh ) was distorted into the letter ( z ) .
