This isn’t even something far-fetched, just pure laziness on the part of Mogadishu’s Mayor. Put the electric wiring underground, paint majority of the buildings white, ban all bajaaj vehicles and get rid of that hideous solar lightening, replace it with a proper street light system, and you are already 80% there;

That’s how it was before the war;

Bajaaj is the economic lifeline for a lot of families back home it’s stopped a lot of youth from tahrib we need to find an alternative

The potential mogadishu has I crazy, just a little city and urban planning and boom we can have an amazing city we all would love to live and invest in

With a single industrial park on the outskirts of the city you could dump all those young Bajaaj riders in there. They would have a steady income without ruining the image of the city driving those pest-threewheelers.

And the money for an industrial park is there, the electricity is there, the manpower is there, the demand to produce products for Somalia or countries like Turkey is there.

Whatever happened to this planned industrial park?
