no, somalis are free to marry whoever they want at an individual level. Southeastern africans see intermarriage as a person “finally becoming apart of their society”. They view women as a commodity to be sold off basically.
We do not agree with that. We as somalis emphasise personal autonomy and do not think other women of other ethnicities belong to us. Thats pure disrespect and objectification

on top of that we cannot marry majority of them anyways. We are muslims, majority of them arent and genetically they are bantu we are cushites. Culturally we are also very different to them. A somali persons first choice would be their own ethnicity. If not it would probably a muslim horner or a sudanese (majority of cases). - i have my own qualms with other cushitic groups like oromo but eritrean is fine

personally i can only go for horner looking men (first choice) or north african/arab. At a very long stretch mixed men would be the last choice. Thats just my preference i want my kids to look somewhat like me without my genes being wiped out. Nothing wrong with a preference.
