YouTubers about to get sued $40,000 + for making content that could be deemed "child friendly".
Article 13 getting passed in the EU 6 months back is ultra overkill for the internet. Both YouTube and memes will be murdered
America censors YouTube to the point of Deletion:
EU is lowkey a dictatorship unelected MMP's representing entire nations smhArticle 13 is so retarded, who tf voted for it? Wallji this is some masonry Djjalic shit. Muh internet is precious.

Broski any video that looks like it could be "child friendly" when the YouTube creator's click that it's not child friendly will get fined $40,000+ PER VIDEO. "Child friendly" includes Gaming, Blogging, Story Times, etc. It does not matter how much cussing the video has, if the FTC seed a "child friendly" thumbnail/title with cartoon characters or "vibrant colours", you is fucked. It's a way to protect IP.
It isn't the best designed law but it the best thing to have happened for the creative industries for a long while.
The only ones that are hurting from this are lazy content "creators" who want to make a living of other people's IP.
The law will gradually get improved through court cases.

Btw, Article 13 is not protecting shit. The "IP" definition is bland and could include anything that is not owned by you that you are using aka memes.
Isn't that a good thing. People use thumbnails specifically to attract kids and the content is usually not kid friendly... This is what advertisers were complaining about.
Also anything that isn't yours should be left of your content.
If you want to use anything you should get a license to use it.
Wild west era of YouTube is over. Now you'll need to comply with laws and get with the system.
The YouTube algorithm might f*ck up and ban some innocent channels but it'll get better over time and real content creators will get paid what they're worth.
You are a dictator and jealous by nature
