What was the opinion of Somalis at the time on the Islamic Courts Union. From what I've heard and read, they were a stabilising force in Somalia supported by the people. What necessitated (or more aptly - incentivised) Ethiopia and the US to invade Somalia and oust the ICU towards the end of 2006?

Dude, why do Somalis make themselves bigger than they are? We can't manufacture weapons or shells, we can't even feed ourselves seeing as the South relies so much on foreign aid.

Somalis, particularly in the South and Central parts supported the courts who wrestled control from the criminal warlords. It was a organic grassroot movement, using Islam to unite the warring clans.

Honest question, no jokes or trolling wallahi, this is a question I have posed to numerous HAG and none have been able to answer me.

Why did the ICU need to 'clean' up in the first place? Who were these CIA death squads? Who was terrorising civilians in the South?

Why didn't this problem occur in Puntland or Somaliland? That is, Isbaaro checkpoints, the airports and public infrastructure being squatted by clan militias and so on?

Abdullahi Yusuf didn’t bring ethiopians, they came by themselves and with the blessing of the west. He is a traitor who watched as countless of somali civilians were butchered by the invasion of the ethiopians. I also include any other somali who was apart of the TFG.

AMISOM was made and financed by the west, to support the weak and traitorous somali governments who had to be propped up by gaals.
