You should get those mobile ones for one room only. It's a waste to get a central AC (too expensive & high maintenance costs) as you will need it only for a few days out of the year.

I got one but cooling fans are not as effective as AC. Imagine the UAE without AC everyone would die there (that is how hot it was today) . It might not seem practical for northern European countries to install ACs however the summers are getting hotter year by year it is predicated by 2050 London will be as hot as Barcelona every year .
