I haven't seen any Egyptian statements but the dam unites all Ethiopians regardless of creed.

Eritrean and Ethiopian propaganda has been saying that the TPLF is willing to have joint ownership with Egypt if it helps them back to power. That was an effort to unite all Ethiopians against the TPLF.

Egypt and Eritrea are long standing friends, they will work together to defeat Ethiopia.
