You are right. But I honestly doubt the average Brit knows the difference between Somaliland and Somalia. Legally its the same country so the UK govt making the distinction on travel is important. SL is safe for you or me because we got tribes to protect us. Cadaans don't got that same luxury.

Just look on Instagram somalialdm or Hargeisa location and you see daily foreign tourists . They just keep increasing ,$$ are flowing in even without recognition .
