The Italian government used a total of 12,000 troops in their conquest of Mudug, Nugaal and Bari.

They are divided as follows:

1. Six Benadir battalions
2. Three Eritrean battalions(reduced to two in the last three months)
3. four mobile artillery sections of 65 mount
4. four mobile artillery sections of 70 mount
5. 3000 Dubats
6. 2500 irregular clan militias
7. 500 Zaptie
8. A full naval division
9. Three aviation units

Their casualties after 35 engagements with the enemy for two years were:

Dead: 553
Wounded: 341

Note: they are not counting the casualties for the clan militias who actually engaged in most of the bloodiest conflicts.
