We have have been cooperating for thousands of years collectively, i know that it's unimaginable for the first few years for reunification. However it has been 30 years and by now more casualties have fallen outside Somaliland than the genocide. I am not trying to compare but to show another perspective.

Justice has to be served obviously on all sides, meaning everyone who participated in innocent violence, genocide and other warcrimes need to be sentenced to life in prison. (Don't really think that all war criminals will get sentenced, we can take justice in our own hands and track them down and assassinate like how isreal tracked and killed high ranking nazis.

All of us need to look at the bigger picture.

Is it worth it to stay in the status quo or is it in our interest to unite under one banner and create the biggest economy in east africa.

Hell become autonomous kingdoms for all the majority cares aslong as the confederation is under one banner.

Secondly, everyone was killed and affected in some way, you don't see them trying to secede, do you? Raxanweyn's had more people dead during the civil war yet you don't see them using their deaths for political interests. This whole argument that "Somaliland deserves independence because they had people killed" is bullshit and easily debunked.
