The Easiest and Quickest Way To Bring Law and Order to Somalia

We need to make a mandatory military conscription, in this way people will have a sense of loyalty to the nation, especially the youth to their country over Qabil. We would also have a large military force to put down dissidents and because the military gives a lot of people organization guidance responsibility and discipline. Eventually these youths that have been educated in the military would be able to be educated politicians and shrewd businessman

Most of our youths are poor and living destitute lives so we could easily have a standing active military personnel of over 600,000.

Also a lot of countries have used their military personnel in major infrastructure and agricultural projects, even America has done this

I agree with you. 2 to 3 years military training should be mandatory in Somalia.
And they should be fed with a lot of brain washing, so we can remove qabiil alliance and replace it with nation alliance.

I say we should ask for International Aide from the world first countries, & then establish a military.

U dont have to force anyone. ALL the youth will come running for a pay check.

After 5 years of AIDE--- Somalia can take care of itself from its own natural resources and tax pay

Why bring about law and order when you can get foreign aid. Military generals receive some so they don’t do a coup. So before that there has to be a strong legal system where you can persecute dishonest civil servants

If Al Shabbat can do it so can the government, also the target demographic are men 16-25, they’re easily coerced. Most of them are scabulla single boys looking for any opportunity outside of shahxad

yes at least for the moment
It would not work, especially the 2-3 mandatory military service is absolutely nonsense and a nightmare to the government financially and to the citizens for their civil life and future will be fcked up. Look at eritreans take an example of them. Secondly how much is the public acceptance for totalitarian regimes, it is like pouring oil on the fire.

Somalis need something else that can make them line up around it, something that they see it as something they cannot neglect it. It could be a system, a party or anything else that isn't totalitarian or use force to make decisions, decisions should came from them not enforced on them.

nightmare to the government financially

Put them to work. Getting a dozen hours of productive work out of them would provide the government with a surplus of revenue.

and to the citizens for their civil life and future will be fcked up.

As compared to their enviable lives today?

There's no civil life right noe just khat, suffering and more khat.

They would be able to take care of the military financially if they use it to create work, just using the military to build roads and essential infrastructure would bring in profitable many times over the costs of maintaining if that military

Creating no existing jobs for the sake of creating jobs actually works, for example FDR’s New Deal had the Works Progress Administration that were designed to employ millions and millions of laborers to engage in public works projects. At the time of it’s disbandment, the WPA was one of the largest employers in the country.

That's unethical. Are you suggesting we should implement the same radical tactics used by Al Shabaab?! AS don't ask, they force those young kids and their parents are mercilessly butchered if they dare oppose the order. That's not what civilized societies do.

Also the military could used a vocational school where people become skilled works in construction, medicine, communications, IT, ect

Every nation has a standing army for the preservation of the nation and the ethos of this military would not be to go to war but to retain stability of the nation and helping reconstructing our country so it could eventually start industrializing. This will be a honorable way they can serve their nation community, alleviate burdens from them their families and help and have a more constructive future

Dude, obviously we need an army but mandatory conscription as your thread suggested isn't necessary at all. The current FGS has more than 20k+ voluntary soldiers. No one forced them to join the army. Mandatory conscription should be imposed in times of war only. Your theory is illogical and not needed at all.

Russia, Brazil, Sweden, Norway,Iran, Singapore, Israel, and South Korea have a mandatory military conscription, you know what these countries have in common ? Despite their decisive policies they have a stable nation that’s willing to follow their leaderships guidance

Also we are living in times of internal strife relative to every other nation in the world
