Why? Death Penalty is very effective, especially against crimes against the state such as Terrorism and Murder. The US implements it and the Sharia allows it, so it would be hypocritical for EU and UN to condemn Somalia implementing the death penalty after going through a legal process.

As for the 21 killed, there could have not been a invalid reason why they was killed. They were terrorists, killing the youths and people of Somalia. If they was truly "innocent", there would have been severe backlashes. But they weren't was they?

Somaliland Govt has received allot of training and support from EU.

The EUs stance on the death penalty is unacceptable and have trained the entire judicial system against it.

The death penalty is only applied in Somaliland in the most extreme cases

SL and UAE are the same when it comes to death penalty. And that is why cases worthy of execution is a low in the MENA area (albeit those without the Penalty)
And its effective due to the relative peace and other ventures for punishment (blood money) , but for somewhere like Somalia, then the strict, nonsense approach is needed for Terrorism, place them on that tree and release the bullets.

A lot of somalis are mad about the execution accusing PL of executing innocent ppl from KG and communities from the south I really don't know whats the truth but it needs to be looked into
