Recently, family members and friends of mine have expressed concern and anger at the creeping and unending tide of Amharas trickling into the province, they are building churches on lands our ancestors spilled their blood for, it’s also common knowledge that these Amharas don’t observe hygiene and are known to freely and openly defecate on streets, urinate as they walk and etc…. What is going on?????

The Somalis are driving this demand. The cooks, waiters, barbers ( basically the whole service industry) are Amharas and Oromos. It'd be silly to think these labourers wouldn't form a community in the region.
If we put aside the economic situation and focus on their long term plans for the region, we can see nothing good will come from it, they will sink their claws into the ground and claim the land as theirs. Churches, brothels, bars and all will become a normal sight, thus the Islamic and Somali irredentist cause will be crushed under the weight of this new class of amhara and oromo settlers. All for the sake of lining the pockets of wealthy Quurbajoog businessmen/women who thought it to be a shrewd move to employ Amharas and oromos who would work for less and happily have their dignity trampled on in the pursuit of money.
It is alarming. We have a family friend who employed Amharas to work on his farm which is located deep in the Shabelle region. Were there no Somalis to do the job?

Yea this sad, I wish people employed the Somalis and gave them their due pay instead of Bringing other ethics groups may cause disturbances later on. I personally know alot of people who employ Basha Jeerwayne to tend and look over their farms, my uncle got a guy from Jeerwayne build him a house on the farm and gave him money to get married, then gave him a job to work. Its better Somalis use Somalis to farm and pay them their fair wages, i would rather a guy who speaks like me and is Muslim compared to some Amhara.

Can you give us a list of the cities and provinces that they are settling in?
Somali qurbajoogs are fueling this laziness among the people back home sending them money,why should they work in a farm or a resturant when they can relax and collect cash from dahabshill?We should do 2 things either help or send enough money for him/her to start a business and get some profit return or send nothing at all.My mum did this and the results were great they are now self sufficient and my mum gets an extra trickle of cash flowing in

I've said this on this forum before and I'll say it again. Amharas and other Ethiopians have been going in and out of DDS since way back, but never has there been such a high one sided migration towards Somali land. Beside the economic factor many are mentioning here, which is a small fraction, there are more coordinated state plan (including the regional administration), to facilitate the settlements from other regions. In particular the past years, since the latest federal and regional gov'ts came to power. Regarding opportunities, they have a preferential treatments too. Just look at the disproportionality employment in public sector in DDS, and it will be crystal clear.
This has gone so far that, unfortunately the locals are even publicly expressing their dissatisfactions. I was watching a vlog the other day from Jigjiga, where I saw this. It wasn't surprising either, as I've heard and seen it, with my own eyes too over there.
The problem with Amharas unlike Afars, Oromos, Harari etc. that lives in Jijiga and other DDS cities, few of them speaks the language. And most of whom don't bother learning it either. Even their children goes to exclusive amharic language local schools. So much so, that we (the locals) have to accommodate them and their attitudes, by learning/speaking Amharic in a Somali majority area. This shit would never work in a place like Bahir Dar. But again, there are (state/local) actors intentionally working towards this direction/development...

On our part, I'd say like others also have said. When it comes to the economical aspect, at least in the private sector, make sure that you employ Somalis firsthand. Nothing xenophobic/discriminatory against non-Somalis, but locals (Somalis) should be prioritized. Especially when we got such a high unemployment rates. More Somalis needs to also take lower "status" jobs, that even Amharas don't take. It's usually Oromos, who get these types of jobs.
On a regional level, we need a new gov't. One that takes into consideration to his people needs and concerns. Stop active state sponsoring of non-Somalis to settle here, for whatever agenda they have. Evidently since we are part of Ethiopia, we can't deny non-Somalis moving here just like other regional gov't can't do to non-natives. But the least we should be doing is set requirements to those wanting to settle there. And most importantly have a regulated control of movement/migration. Including only allowing those who want to move there out of their own "will", i.e. no intentional state facilitated migration.
Requirements can include, to make sure that they must learn the language, with exceptions maybe in the beginning. Even jobs, including public sector jobs; everyone should have knowledge of the Somali language. (As it's the same every other place). Schools must be provide solely in Somali to all, and let people choose a second language of their choice to add on top of it. With exception to only native minorities. Encourage others to not settle all in the same place, and prevent large settlements of migrants concentrated in a specific area. Like in some part of Jigjiga, especially close to the center, there are only Amharas. If ethnic minorities moves like this, you feel like foreigners when you pass by, with all the above mentioned factors. All in all, just do as the other regional states do in being "protectionist", while still having order and following the laws of the country, for the time being.

And they've achieved their aim now.
As much as I despise TPLF, it's undeniable that Amharas&Co. committed ethnic cleansing. Killing, raping, displacing and actively chasing the locals way, to then settling Amharas there. I mean we are talking about thousands upon thousands, in less than two years. While its rightful owners are currently in IDPs & refugees. For everyone not aware of this, look it up. People tend to take about Oromos, but this is on another level. Horrifying to say the least.

It’s not like I have an allegiance to any of these ethnic groups otherwise I logically would have sided with those Tegaru bastards. Amhara are just the lesser of (three) evils to me as an Eritrean. Tegaru want to annex my country and Oromo want to break apart my church. The Amhara haven’t done anything to my people in me or my parents lifetime
This mass settlement and government sponsored demographic changes occurring in Ogaden is being engineered to give Ethiopia a firm claim to the Ogaden territory. If Somalis had settled en mass in Gondar, Bahir Dar etc built mosques, expected to be communicated with in the Somali language, people would be calling it ethnic cleansing and a cultural genocide!
