I don't know why they find it so unbelievable. as people get older their masks fall off and it becomes harder and harder for them to hide their true character. When they're 40/50 people with bad behavior tend to hide their shame but as they creep into their 70s and 80s they don't know how to anymore, everything just spills out.

I know some old men who act similarly
