The core of many Somalis is status/power competition with other Somalis

Both of which are zero sum (someone's win is other people's loss.)

My core is wanting Somalis to unite and compete effectively against other nations, but I'm losing hope, because clannish status/power competition is simply too pleasurable for many a Somali whose horizon is narrow. This is stuff isn't just between different clans though...it's within the same sub-clan, within the same relations, etc. Does a Somali ever wish well for other Somalis or is it always the case that the success of that guy or reer hebel hebel means my failure? "I will erase my sense of shame by rooting against them and even plotting to bring them down and being gleeful when they are brought down."

I think many Somalis think like that.

Want to fix Somalia? Turn your tuulo into NY or Tokyo and the rest will copy you somehow.

Geeljire have so much potential but if all we see is our neighbors in the same position there's no impetus to move up the social ladder.

We also can't have a wealth class system due to our clannish nature. So is there any hope?

I believe that Somalis would benefit from an anarcho-capitalist country with each qabil having a their own state. All the qabils are bound by a constitution like, Xeer. At best, I believe Somalia’s government should small

Isn’t main reason why qabils fight is property and/or access to resources? It seems like the current government system in Somalia is similar to crony capitalism.
Crony capitalism is an economic system in which businesses thrive not as a result of risk, but rather as a return on money amassed through a nexus between a business class and the political class. This is often achieved by using state power rather than competition in managing permits, government grants, tax breaks, or other forms of state intervention over resources where the state exercises monopolist control over public goods, for example, mining concessions for primary commodities or contracts for public works.
Money is then made not merely by making a profit in the market, but through profiteering by rent seeking using this monopoly or oligopoly. The only difference is instead of mega corporations, it’s certain qabils

Its crony capitalism but it's not the clans who are benefiting from it just opportunist who use their ignorant clans as shields while they siphon out all the wealth they can for themselves.

Btw I didn't say we can't have social class hierarchies because clans are socialist but because those same opportunist within your own clan would use the clan against you to force you to distribute your wealth... preferably to them.

They'll do that by either removing the protection the clan provides or a forced redistribution.

Wealthy Somalis are either forced to live abroad or hire so many useless burdens from their clans that they lose it all within a generation.

Very good post

I clocked a lot of somalis are very low vibrational people with sense of grandeur and they just won't understand that within themselves because it would expose them that they are very flawed and they gonna have to work on it. Doing inner work takes a lot of mental energy and a lot of time. It will take a lot of self-reflection and they have to use humility even if it goes against their image of the proud arrogant self.
Personally, I had to be humbled by a series of events that made question myself because I was kinda arrogant in an insecure way and it wasn't working. Alhamdulillah for that, it exposed me to my bullshit ways and it took a long time to change my ways., and I'm still on that road, however I wouldn't have it any other way. I understood losses is a disguised win if you think thru this.
Insecurities can also be your best friend if you work on it and the reward can be greater than what you expect.

Also, a lot of somalis didn't have any form of training that required discipline since our parents were not so ambitious in learning something that they could pass on to their kids and also they all indulged in "penny pinching losing dollars" type of behaviour. They just wouldn't invest in their kids, and those who did, their kids turned out alright, you could tell by their mindset.

There are also some kids, despite growing up in a low vibrational environment who turned out mashaAllah. Those kids understood from early on that, a lot of things they have seen goes against who they are and decided to go their own path. Those kids will grow up to become something special and those guys will catch a lotta hate.

I just pray for them and hope for the youth they see and cherish the value of understanding. It's almost like a muscle, the more they use it, the stronger it becomes.

That's just my two cents.

Anarchism is about eliminating unjust hierarchies. Capitalism is about creating unjust hierarchies.

The idea of both things being compatible is ridiculous as they would contradict each other in every fundamental aspect.

Not true. The underlying foundation of capitalism is human freedom. As Adam Smith recognized, when individuals are permitted to pursue their self-interest through markets, they are amazingly good at finding ways of bettering not only themselves but society as well.

Equally important, as economist Joseph Schumpeter explained, out of this freedom arises a continuous process of improvement – what he called “creative destruction.” It is this constant innovation – discovering and bringing to market new products and services, finding ways of improving existing products and services, and finding more efficient ways to create these products and services – that truly drives economic growth and increases standards of living.
Also, socialism is unnecessary because generosity is a core value of Somali culture that people extend towards the broader community and public rather than limit to their immediate community or family. Somalis find dignity in being helpful, hospitable and charitable to others with everything (money, food, time, personal connections, etc.). Hence, individuals may also receive social, emotional and financial support from the broader Somali community and public when going through particular hardship. Local mosques also often play a key role in mobilising community support.

First, capitalism increases the number of “winners.” Unlike other systems, capitalism reduces the barriers to entry into market activity for larger numbers of individuals. The resulting competition provides greater opportunities for success (both great and small) than in any other system.

Second, over the long run, society in its entirety benefits as a result of markets. This is because markets, as mentioned above, bring more goods and services within reach of more people than any other system.

Capitalism is the act of benefiting from the labor of others in a non-productive manner/through sheer ownership. It is by definition an exploitative and oppressive philosophy,
What about those kids that are dying right now by being forced to mine cobalt for your computer or phone? Why don't you lecture them about the human freedom that capitalism bestowed upon them.

Yes Somalis are generous at heart. I'd like to think most humans are. But our contemporary state won't allow us to completely put that virtue to practice which is why we need socialism, you know. Something that's built on altruism?

And about your point on innovation, they are owned by private hands, innovation that might help people are not done because it's not profitable, and innovation that might hurt people and the planet are done because of profit. The difference in socialism is that innovation would be motivated because of the use, meaning, that the innovations would benefit everyone and be productive to society.
in short, we wouldn't have this monstrosity, is this merch your New and Productive Services?

I disagree. In order for everyone to equal, someone has to be pulled down. Statism breeds more corruption than private businesses. Terrible teachers, police and other city/state workers are caused by big government. The problem with some unionized companies is that is destroys the incentive to perform better services. For example, the doctors for Medicare and Medicaid are sub-par is because they get paid less . I lived in a welfare state all my life and it really doesn’t help the poor. These monopolies and banks are backed up by government bailouts. Businesse regulations are used to keep the competition out. The fees for business licenses, high minimum wages and property taxes made it harder for lower class people to start a business
