The closest group genetically to somalis

For now Oromos. If the stars align for the day a Rendile from one of non ariaal clans takes a DNA test they'd most likely be the closest group to us.

I remember a few years back seeing a reddit post of one Rendille person who managed to take a 23andme test. But it seems they deleted/removed it. They were roughly 50% Somali in their results.

Its a simple fact, now you can be mad like serbians and split up your race, or be based like the imperial germans (not the n*zis) and be pro-unity among the members of your race.

Yes the oromos have a degeneracy problem, but they are like bavarians before prussian annexation, they can be fixed, they are one of the most pure lowlander cushite groups and should be treated as such.

All Horn Africans bear bronze/iron age arabian ancestry at varying degrees. Somalis are no exception to this. It's funny because Habeshas are actually (on average) less arabian-shifted than some Cushitic-speaking groups like the Beja, Saho and even Afar.

All in all, we share anywhere between 60-80% of our ancestry with Northern Ethiopians and Eritreans.
