I think if SL tries to legitimize any sort of talks with them, it would destroy the government. We already saw when their foreign minister was being neutral and tried to be coy in an interview it blew up in their face. Regardless of qabil or politics, I believe we're all united on this issue.
They are masters of deception and the centuries old divide and conquer so I would not put it past them to try and capitalize on our internal divisions. The question is will the SL regime stoop this low out of desperation for recognition.
doubt it most muslim nations do and their populace dont rebel just dont bring the flags into the country and it should be fine, people dont have the capacity to do any long term damage.
I don't think you can compare Somalis to other nations. The government doesn't have a monopoly on violence. There's clan militias everywhere. His own people would reject him, nevermind the opposition that already dislikes him.
dont get me wrong he has to be cautious very cautious laakin most somalis dont even know the concept of a regional partnership theyll look at the names involved and the projects happening and might get cautious when you know who is mentioned , but if he now goes around saying saar we love israel saar yh its gonna be bad, also for clan militias its only an issue if they dont have a stake or feel represented and dont say they dont cos barring the far east of sl most do, cos now i think things are starting to get tense in the region something has to budge
