The Case for SLAVERY IN AMERICA

OK....This morning i watched the view talk show, and this whole month of February, every day they show case an African American who changed history to mark Black History month. Today they mentioned Ms Wheatley born in 1753. She was abducted from Africa at age 8. And she started writing poems, published a book of poems by age 14, and was even recognized by maga stars like President Washington and Voltaire. I so googled her out of curiously, and she has like a list of poems she wrote. Since i dont have time to read them all, i just picked one random poem. The below poem is about her expressing gratitude for being enslaved because had she remained back home in Africa, she would have been a PAGAN.

Arab slave trade wasn't discriminatory case in point us Somalis sold other blacks and whites and sometimes kept them to Arabs so it was colorblind

It is frightening when someone draws a parallel between slavery and mental liberation.

This was an individual who found enlightenment and purpose during a very dark period of American history.

Ms Whitley found enlightenment when she was taught how to read and write. Now if slavery had something to do with that is debatable. But in this actually thread, i was talking about the salvation a slaves soul by becoming NONE PAGAN and believing in GOD the creator. I think that is the better transcendence than a mere futile, full of hubris about the enlightenment or any high fleeting BS!

But isn't becoming MUSLIMS thanks to the Arabs far more glorious than how they were treated as human beings?? For Allaah swt will hold these arabs accountable in the end?? That's my point.

Hoorta the castration of Men in arab culture is very bizarre to me. Walaahi, who invented that? How can u take a man genitals away from them like that? I mean, u think the brain goes away??? Men think with their brain and genitals. They will still lust for women, but only they dont have the tool to use it on them. Sort of like the today lesbians. LOL I thought this practice was very cruel in my opinion. Now if they used gay feminine men as servants, that's a different story. They dont have desires for their women. Win win situation. I think that was the point of castration in the first place?. They didn't want these black mostly boys/Africans impregnating their women. Which is racism in my opinion. Disgraceful

OK. I still stand by my statement. Is Africans being enslaved by America, and the Arabs a good thing for them? (sure the castration is horrible. You see there's a reason why you posted this and why it peaked your interest. The reason from my point of view is because you--yourself like many of us Somalis are entering a dark period of jahilnimo (the very jahilnimo that Wheatly "Felt" liberated from).

The only difference in todays society is that people like yourself have put shackles on themselves.

Every time black history month comes up, its seems its an opportunity for Somalis neefs from this generation to feel proud they haven't been enslaved and that they were the masters.

Slavery was just part of life back in those days.

We took Habeshi slaves and made them part of our families.

There was a code involved that kept things humane to the extent slavery could be.

Arabs are something else though. If they torture employed immigrants today then it must have been much worse back then.

Feel for those that got forced to move to the Americas but at least they got a higher IQ out of it....
