They were less qabili and had far better social relations back in the day no doubt, how or why that ended is as clear as bloody day, they were put into one state, one govt, something never experimented before. Infact I've seen this quite systemic not just in govt but even in social things where there is an element of management or leadership like diaspora groups, sporting groups, women's groups, youth groups.

Now why extend these people pain when it's clear they don't like ruling one another. I think that's the cruelest thing you can do.

Why place expectations on the FGS to support your campaign against AS or complain about obstacles to your efforts when millions of Ogadens across the border in the SR are armed with Ethiopian backing? And another million+ able bodied men in NFD? You also have the support of Kenya, while the FGS is bullied by both nations. You can do it with your kinsmen alone but you have no proper clan unity.

The failure to turn JL into the paradise you envision lies squarely with the Ogaden themselves, not anyone else. It’s always easier to blame outsiders than to hold yourselves accountable. There’s no point in running from the problem when it will still be there, even if you escape the hellhole you’ll always be tied to.

We appreciate all criticism. Like you we are also aware of the current challenges and possible shortcomings that might exist. The terrorist issue is complex. Unfortunately, we haven’t had the time and space to focus on the terrorists. The plan was to capture Kismayo first then continue to Bu’ale. However, unfortunately as soon as Kismayo was liberated Villa Somalia attacked Kismayo and has spent the past 12 years either directly attacking or preparing for an attack. That is because there was a direct and new enemy/opposition which had to be defeated in mostly everyone's interest. Today, that enemy/opposition is dependent on who feeds you and who doesn't. 1940-1960 was an unprecedented time which we will never go back to. Somalia is more of a concept than a reality, to unite all Somalis is a dream long gone. All these political possibilities just goes to show how bleak our future prospects are, its quite depressing really. What I'd do to live in the last century.

How many KDF bases are there in Jubaland? How many have they left in the past 2 years? Geriley, Buulo Xaaji, Kudhaa, Buur Gaabo etc all bases left by KDF and currently controlled by Jubaland alone. Not to mention impotant towns such as Janaay Cabdalla and the whole corridor to Afmadow that was opened by Jubaland alone and manned by Jubaland alone.

Hell so far being separatists actually improves cooperation with the FGS. SL has indiscriminately shelled pro-government regions and sold land to Ethiopia with no problems.

The FMS are at war over the audacity of controlling their own elections(which happens even in the USA). Can you blame people for feeling like we should seperate?

This is similiar to what @Arkan said and an answer was already provided but you need to be walked through it.

Aid is vital in Somalia so constant obstruction is naturally a problem. JL pushed AS further in the last 1-2 years then in the prior 6 due to temporary peace with the FGS. The same FGS had just attempted: complete sanctions, obstructed flights, rejected JLs share of international training, armed opposition militias, funded breakaway subclan regions, obstructed aid projects, established parallel admins etc in JL.

Highlighting that endless hostility with the FGS as an obstacle or contemplating solutions for it isnt ‘scapegoating’. We are literally devolved back into a potential political war because Hawiyes want Afmadows mayor picked in Wardhiigley.

Since when was KDF shutting down airports and arresting citizens? KDF doesnt ‘control’ JL any more then Atmis controls the FGS.

Gedo is a complex region itself and Ethiopia is a unique enemy you cant just map their relationship onto ours with Atmis.

Even in theory, Jubbaland can't play into the ictiraaf/independence political game like its counterparts. Unlike Somaliland and Puntland, Jubbaland is the home base of a group that lays direct claims to ruling Somalia and are actively at war with the federal gov - the dynamic is not the same. The issue of Jubbaland is a national security threat.

Any Somali president worth their own salt would have Jubbaland infiltrated/surrounded by air and by land but alas, the airport of the capital city is guarded by Ugandans.
