The Architect Behind The Somali Republics Destruction - Mengistu Still Alive and Well

I’m not interested in uniting with others in the name of Somalia or Somalinimo honestly. This country was invented by a white uncircumcised Italian dude. If we aren’t uniting with the Qur’an and Sunnah ruling us, I’d rather stay in my clan land.
You go online crying over why somalia is a shithole for 32 years and then in the same thread talk about how you don't want to unite with somalis because you value your clan more.
You types are the one who made the country a shithole in the first place.

As a Djiboutian we cisse already have our own country where we oppress afars and speak french but i will happily join/create a somali nationalist party to unite our people

First of all, I hate the african union.
Secondly, It's better to have faith and feel the need to help rebuild your homeland than whatever you are doing.

With that doomer mindset, please tell me what you are gonna be doing in life? Will you live out your days in some white country?

I don't understand some saaxiibs. Somalia is incredible. It's VIRGIN LAND. Seriously, I'm working on rebuilding my family's once large business holdings there (long-story) and keep going back and forth and I always get excited when I'm there. Some saaxiibs may look and see shabby and empty land but all I see is opportunity. It's like finding the Gulf states in the 1970s-1990s. Everything is starting from the ground-up now and if you can make a good enough case to them about the safety and efficacy they're in for you'd be surprised how much ajanabi investors slobber when you mention you're a businessman from Somalia (or anywhere in Africa). We have a whole oversized country ripe for shaping into whatever you want if you have the right know-how and funds. It's exciting.

Exactly somalia is a virgin market full of open space for you to make what you want if you're willing to put in the work and take the risks.
It's like going into the savage and open frontiers of America where immigrants came to build something out of nothing

I hate pessimists. Better not come back when we fix the country.

I’m not crying about it. I just find it thoroughly enjoyable to humble overproud Somalis online. I never said I valued my clan more. I said I’d rather go to my ancestral lands than unite with all Somalis under a secular nationalist Somalia. And don’t say we don’t have to be secular if we’re nationalists cus the inevitability is eventually silencing and/or jailing Islamic scholars when they critique the state.

Exactly what I was thinking of. I look at Bosaso and all I see is what needs doing and can be done. More cement roads, cobbled streets, planting trees like palm trees, setting up small dhow boat rides on the beach, jet-ski rides, food-trucks, setting up an equivalent to Talabat/Ubereats, more billboards, digging more wells and irrigating the land better for more locally grown produce and pastured animals so we're not bloody importing Brazilian chicken (yes), more modern air and seaports... now, where the funds and energy are going to come from is a doozey but I've seen the sorts of handouts these corrupt qasaros pocket from the UN and other gaalo entities. They could have gotten A LOT more done a long time ago and the rest we'll figure out. It's part of the fun, if you ask me. Feels like being one of them adventurous cowboys running into wild west indeed.

Who said i value secularism?
You are confusing me with lost nationalists who simply want somalia to westernise and hate anything arab or islam which is not what i am.
I believe somalia should have a modern and strong government and millitary and should be run according to Somali traditions and Islamic Laws

I’m glad to hear that sxb. But I don’t entirely agree with incorporating all Somali traditions because a few of them are unislamic.

I share the same sentiments as you. I've been to quite a different places, and I can honestly say that there are so much opportunities in all Somali inhabited land back home. I think looking at the state of Somalia puts many people off. But as soon as more Somalis go back and unlock lucrative opportunities; it will only attract more moving forward. The more Somalia stabilize, the more it will advance.

That's the sort of attitude that we all need, saaxiib

Best of luck

Yeah some somali traditions should be done away with but the foundation of our identity should be maintained as well as using islam to guide us as it gives our society it's moral foundations.
I don't wanna end up a materialistic hell hole with degeneracy everywhere and become an off brand white worshiping country like those in asia, we should maintain pride and dignity

So odd looking at this. He... he looks adorable, not gonna lie. Like one of those pleasant madow odays you run into at your local coffee shop who's always in a golf cap and sharply dressed with well-trimmed facial hair. Sitting there satisfied and sipping his cappuccino. I would never suspect he ever indulged in war-crimes. Man, ever an enigmatic animal.

Ya cadhim :yacadiim:

So many of us in thread alone, who come from outside the current border of Somalia, but believe in prosperity of Somalia and unity of all Somalis. Don't make us re-evaluate our aspirations :tocry:

In all honesty, you do have point given the state of Somalia today. Even if it was invented by cadaan, the same can be said about most other countries that exist today, and they are doing fine. We just need to find other ways of solving our internal issues, to move the nation forward. It will require a lot, but I'm hopeful, iA. :francis:
How would you distribute power in a united somalia ? You guys make it sound simple.
