Somalia had a great textile industry we used to export dating back to antiquity and it became non existent in little more than a decade in the 90s after cheap Asian factory made clothing was sent over by the west in massive containers and handed out for free killing the local textile industry. Same thing for literally everything including food. How many of those refugee camps in the city are former farmers forced out of their farms due to making zero profit and unable to compete with NGOs.
