Here's the pictures in this quote tweet. These are inscriptions found in somaliaCan someone tell me where this is from? what is the source for this? It was shared in the thread post @Midas linked.
On the side of the picture the German translation says ''The inscription Stone of the Somali''

It actually does look like a legit writing script or some weird hieroglyphics.

They look very similar to the somali sumado we see especially the ones from the twitter post. I am wondering why there isn't much work discussing the details of these scripts. Do you have any sources for the somali ones and the thamudic scripts? Here's the pictures in this quote tweet. These are inscriptions found in somaliaView attachment 370627View attachment 370628
Absolutely they are not tied to a role and can travel to places.I remember someone on the forum saying something but i cant find it to quote so ill paraphrase from my memory. People always assume nomad and nomadic life means people are a backwards people who will nevere develop past their animals, because the imagery they have in mind is that of peasant people who dont know any better. But the reality is that they would be more well off and educated than a peasant because they have no fixed role in society, meaning they can learn to read and write, go to trade, etc.
As for the claims he makes about thamudic script i wouldnt know im not a history man @Midas
Admin should move this to culture history
Nah I wish. I think nobody has really ever taken a closer look besides just noting the fact that stuff like this exists. They look very similar to the somali sumado we see especially the ones from the twitter post.
