In the States, Black is less of a skin color and more of a term of the people who were descended from West African slaves

black is a race, and it’s not exclusive to america
so we can only racially be black

We are a part of the black race simply because that is our color and we all come from the continent.
Our sub race would be Cushite, the race is over 38% Eurasian, comes from East Africa etc

and black American does equal African American
most cases Black Americans descended from chattel slavery wouldn’t know what country they came from so they are under the term African -American
A Ethiopian or Cameroonian doesn’t have that issue.
