Muslims need to fix their own countries. Westerners are getting tired of you.
We must respect the law of the land. In Somalia, you would be removed from a classroom for not wearing a hijab... yet no one is crying out about that. Matter of fact, a good number of y'all on here support that.Quebec's law that bans the wearing of religious symbols by certain government employees deemed to be in positions of authority while at work.

Why the hypocrisy?
Yes, yes I am. This is a Somali forum, so I use relevant examples. Are you really comparing Somalia and Quebec?
Think about what you wrote for a sec.

Within the muslim world there are several countries I've heard of that require a female teacher to wear a hijab or some form of "modest" dress code.
I don't understand why some of y'all have selective outrage.
How is this a human rights issue? Quebec wants to make rules of no religious symbols (which a hijab is just that) and it's legal for them to do so within their own lands, just as Muslim countries pressure and force women to dress a certain way.Well, this is a human rights issue instrictically tied to UN treaties ratified by Canada.
Somalia and other Muslim countries aren’t really known for their human rights.
Only Quebec, they want to be FranceYou can't wear Hijab while teaching in Canada? What kind of backward shit you got going on in Canada?

Shouldn't that cause even more outrage and protests? I barely hear anything coming from the muslim community against the restrictive dress codes in Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Iran. All I hear is either support or silence (which is a form of support).

It’s no different in the rest of Canada. They are just polite racists.Of course it’s Quebec uff that place is so backwards, you will feel like you’re in another country the moment you go there
I wouldn't be allowed to wear my cross if I were a teacher.
That’s wrong also.
It’s a violation of your rights in a treaty ratified by Canada.
There is a clause in the constitution where provinces can override certain sections. It was included to ensure national unity. It's barely ever used but we must respect Québécois who don't want religious symbols from government workers in public spaces
