Some of you guys might already know what I am about to type. however the majority needs to read it and get with the program, our future depends on it.
I have read to many trolling Bullshit about the history of the horn or eastern africa as it was known before.
the ancient people of the nile valley and east africa and their story have been deleted from the history books or better said never included.
the ancient somalis have been trading with ancient egypt since 2278 B.C making egypt one of our first allies through out history.
let that sink in 2278 B.C and that is just the first time they mentioned it. if someone believes in the myth that we where pharaos or anything like it please post in your dreams as if you post in reality you are just participating in derailing the thread.
now we have established that somalis have been trading since 2278 B.C. let's move on to the next chapter, after some legendary somalis actualy tamed the people and formed kingdoms stretching over the horn. The first somali city states emergerd ( the first city states where formed before the union that created Punt).
the somali city states had their own somali names obviously however the people they traded with loved giving names around ( that specific european ego is still alive today). as example here are a few Mosylon, Opone, Malao, Sarapion, Mundus, Essina and Tabae (greek names). these city states where created after the fall of an united kingdom, they where rich in gold, ebony, wild animals, animal skins, elephant tusks, ivory, spices, precious woods, cosmetics, incense and frankincense and myrrh trees which they traded with not only egypt but also Phoenicia, Greece, Parthian Persia, Sheba, Nabataea and the Roman Empire. they competed induvidualy with those nations.
not many civilizations around the world had the possibility to be sovereign, wealthy, powerful, respected and living your best life, while behind the coastal city states and the nomadic interior in the territory of the ethiopian peoples have always been a struggle with their united monarchies the somali people formed united kingdoms only a few times throught thousands of years.
later on in medieval times the horn went from pagan single god believe system to islam, during the middle ages the second golden era for the somali people has begun. at the hights of each sultanate or empire there is always en epic tale to tell. for example the southern empire also known as ajuraan joined hands with the ottoman empire to controll the indian ocean trade. it was highly known around that era that the red sea and the indian ocean where filled with somali bedden vessels, with extraordinary speed the somali bedden vessel was by far the fastest ship in the region.
back to the tale the somali coast got attacked by the portugese and a city sacked, within 24-48 hours the leadership of ajuraan deployed soldiers to tactical postitions to defend the coast and its cities while the navy positioned itself to protect the capital with the majority of the ships.
the portugese new that their plan couldn't succeed and that the ajuraan fleet would crush them. this not the only time they faced each other. this time with ottoman cooperation the swahili coast was liberated from the portugees.
the geledi sultanate karbaashed an arab ruler in zanzibar and forced the king to pay up after slaughtering the arab rulers soldiers.
the northern empire basicaly colonised the entire ethiopian imperial project, the protugees had to interfene afterwards and reinstall the ethiopian ruler who was de throned by somalis.
the moral of the story i am trying to pass on, is that with out supporting each other we are all doomed. just look at the ancient kingdoms of our ancestors and how they where praised when they united and created empires and kingdoms.
with Punt, Macrobia other kingdoms we ought to know by now that when we unite we flourish. forget about territory let the somali government deal with that burden. let just do what we always used to do before everyone became an journalist and politician. lets become merchants again, we where the richest of the region with the smalles population at the same time.
let me put it like this for ya'll, if we work togheter we are the next wealthy state like them gulf states.
or do you want the status quo to stay forever, because the current policies in somalia ( including somaliland) are just digging the grave for the nation.
it is make or brake it time, it has become so bad that the kikuyu reigns over somali territory this would not fly a couple of decades ago.
wake the f*ck up xayawaan f*ck every lala land and lets focus on lala economies, the territories are nice to occupy however they do not feed you. our ancestors sold the nations wild life to live comfortable. we ought to sell the natural resources in the grounds and mountains to live comfortable.
