Mo was one of our language instructors at Columbia in 1966. He married Virginia Shine, a Peace Corps Volunteer, and they had two children. He served as Somaliland Ambassador to Kenya. He died after a long battle with cancer, in Queens, New York.
I believe I can speak for the PC group in saying we sincerely mourn his passing and remember him with respect and affection. Different from the article, we remember him as Mohamuud.
