Türkiye aims to drill for oil off Somali coast next year

"There is a place on the Somali seaside we consider may have oil reserves. We will start seismic work, we want to do deep sea drilling in 2025," Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said in an interview on private broadcaster NTV.

The money better not go to Amison, look at how much eu is paying compared to sna
The EU will add €70 million to the resources already mobilised for ATMIS in previous years, and €40 million for the SNA.

For ATMIS, the agreed support will mostly contribute to the troop allowances of the African soldiers deployed in Somalia
For the SNA, it will focus on the provision of non-lethal equipment.

Like the amison is basically salary but our soldiers get paid pennies, you wonder why they sell out to alshabab, our soldiers need to have the best pay in Somali

What do you think of this news, brother? Frankly, I am not optimistic at all about the country

The industry needs to be established as soon as possible. Future governments can clamp down on corruption or retrace missing funds, but no point in wasting another 10 to 20 years on nothing or ‘potential’, when oil as a energy source clearly has a shelf-life whether it be 40 years or 100 years, it doesn’t matter. The country already lost out on the Peak Oil revenue era of the last 50 years, it shouldn’t miss out on the next 50 years.

Frankly we need money for our infrastructure, with this money we can develop mega roads and at least four ports if we are going to be the gateway for Africa

Reliable sources confirm Turkey is also going to go all in with their support (specifically drone strikes) against AS in Galmudug as they are planning to build a navel base in Harardheere.

The base will be handed over to the FGS after the 10 year deal ends

Man with possibly heavy connections and remarkable history with the energy sector. This is now potentially very serious.
