Does the mode of state really matter? Constitutional Republic, Monarchy, Military, Religious?
Does the mode of govt matter whether it's secular, democratic, shariah, dictatorship? What u will find is no matter what system.is chosen it will degrade and devolve over time because it is all human based system(social engineering)
There is no angel or God governing u, it's a human being and it will.come with human problems. I think the best system should.be chosen that works with the local culture and local realities of the day not religion. Religion hasn't and never will unite people because it's a belief not a fact it can't be a fact or else their no need for a belief.
Plus technically there is no Islamic state unless all Muslims unite as was the case under the 4 caliph after mohamed(sunni and shia) because everything after that was not Islamic state in the way Mohamed held it but became kingdoms.
I doubt all Muslims.will.unite in our life time and will need a Messiah or someone sent from God to achieve such thing. Plus it needs to be done willingly and freely not thru terror or murder and force.
I think Muslims.will unite one day as a belief of mine but I don't see that happening under the current crop of global Muslim.leaders and the current Muslim human capital lol

Muslims.will need to do alot of soul searching and not run to religion to disguise their observable actions and deeds plus economic output is low.which is the only reason their using the God card to conceal their not productive ummah when compared to non Muslimm world. It's quite a miracle because the quran is a.very deep deep abstract knowledge and they founded the modern world which Spain and Portugal studied under and the West studied under Spain and Portugal.
