Ahmed Al Shar’aa got what he wanted. Sanction relief, no Arab regime will ever sign on to those accords. The way Israel behaved since Oct 7 has made it suciadal for any regime to sign those accords. What Syria might do is back channel talks to get the Israelis back behind the UN line.

no, they're propping Druze militiamen to cause trouble in southern Syria. The main leader of Druze opposition just happens to be a former Assad loyalist.

US and Japan vs china military competition is mostly in the pacific and the gulf states who are in the US camp want a stable middle east

Israel will never leave the Golan and Trump reocgnized the Golan as Israeli territory which Biden didn't reverse. The best they can do is get them back into their side of the Golan based on the UN ceasefire agreement. Also the Israelis need to stop bombing Syrians bases. Turkey & Saudi/Qatar are the shield that the Syrians need. May Allah preserve Erdogan, Emir Tamim & MBS. The Turks need to be given bases in Syria (excluding the Kurdish adjacent regions). While the Gulf helps to rebuild the Syrian economy. Syrians & Syria are a nation full of potential and are lucky to have an intelligent man as President despite his previous background.
