Astagfirullah, the music is unfortunately very catchy. Sufis really know how to good musicians, no wonder the quality of the somali music has taken a nose dive after salafism became mainstream kkkkk.

Make no mistake though, sufis represent a large part of the population, atleast south of Galkacyo. Mudane XSM is here congratulating them. They cannot be bullied militarily. Us somalis were traditionally sufis and even after salafism overtook the country their influence is still strong.

Sufism was always there especially in rural somalia it's just that the fear of being targeted by alshabab is slowly fading away from the public

Masha'Allah, Sufism is still strong in central Somalia
This is bidca, anything which is a new form of worship that wasn't done by the Salaf is a form of bidca
“Wa sharrul Umoori Muhdathaatuhaa, Wa kulla Bid'atin dhaialah, wa kulla dhalatin fin-naar" Al-Hadith”.
Translation of the above Hadith: Every innovation is a misguidance and every misguidance goes to Hell fire. (Sahih Muslim)
Since this is an innovation making new forms of worship it is completely haram

Now what about the good vs bad bidca argument

It's completely obscure and makes no sense, why? Because those bidcas which are "good" have nothing to do with the Deen and literally provide nothing but benefit, for example candles in a mosque, it's literally to see at night and doesn't interfere with our religion

Did the prophet SAW his birth day? Or the first 3 golden generations? No.

Nope the majority of Somalis are Atharis, this is just from those crazy parts of Somalia like Galgaduud

Mashallah Suufiyada

Sufisim thrives upon ignorance notice how when somalis come diaspora are all Salafi and drop the sufi stuff lool
thanks to saudis recruiting nomad boys en masse to further their agenda. To the point for every 100 somalis there is 1 'sheikh'. The fact that wahabism began and was funded with British imperial oil money is more than enough reason to see it as corrupt.

so did the British pay Sheikh Ibn Taymiiyah to say mawlid is a bid'ah? was Imam Shawkani on their payroll too?

Not only in the rural parts. They were active in every Northern city. From Borama to Hargeisa, Burco, Ceerigaabo, Las Anod, Garowe and Galkayo.

For some reason the media channels have been promoting them a lot of more than had in the past.

Seeing as how all these non sufis came here to hate on us showcases them being threatened.

Remember! These people use violence to force you to follow them while we don’t!

Who uses violence to force people into a specific sect? Non-Sufi Somalis don't do that.

There is also a strong presence in Guriceel and dhusamareb. My awoowe is literally in Guriceel right now and he told me about the huge celebration of mowlid mashallah.
