Its a well funded armed forces but their manpower, AFVs, SFGs, tanks are nothing compared to Ethiopia. Sudan has a very good and more equipped air force than Ethiopia. Their air force is respectable.

lol at nothing,

Ethiopia doesn't really have any huge advantage over Sudan on the ground. Unless you getting your firgures from unreliable sources such GFP, Ethiopia doesn't have more tanks than Sudan + Ethiopian tanks are very old, the most advanced are T72 which are equal in numbers to Sudans. In terms of AFV's and SFG's, there are no modern and accurate figures available online, but Sudan produces them locally under Its MIC. Ethiopia really has an advantage when it come sto manpower only.

Sudanese army also appears to be much better trained then Ethiopian as I fail to find any high quality drills on the Internet. please share pictures of Ethiopian army and compare their drills to those of Sudan.

Anyhow, both countries produce weapons locally and are developing well. We currently have a common enemy AKA Eritrea which can easily be knocked out of the game so that attention can be directed towards the north of the continent

❤Somaliland❤
You want other countries to fail like Somalia because you are hurt that Somalia will never be peaceful and developing. You have nothing to be proud of. Somalia gets worse everyday while Ethiopia gets better everyday.

Somalia Somalis go back home to get a NGO job and Ethiopians go back home to open big industries and real economic opportunity.

Ethiopia is experiencing 10% GDP growth in 2017 (highest in the world) and 400 foreign invested projects worth tens of billions in 2017.
Fight me. I live in Sweden, DM me. :gucciwhat:

what brought you to a Somali forum, don't you have your own forums?
guess its hard for Ethiopians to have their privacy protected when you have the government watching every move they make.

Sudan is officially Negotiating for Su 30 and Su 35 fighter jets. Omar Bashir had shown interest in the S300 missile systems during a visit to Russia. However, 2 days ago a Russian commander stated that Sudan alongside Egypt, Iraq and Syria might get the S400 missile system but that seems a few years away from getting. It took Turkey a long time to get to the point of even negotiating for the S400.

Both Sudan and Egypt are on the process of building nuclear power plants so they need an effective air ubrella in place AKA modern anti missile and aircraft systems

The GDP levels are as follows:-

Sudan $118 BN
Egypt $330 BN
Ethiopia $78 BN

Sudan produces most its own arms. From small arms to heavy artillery.

They also have a licence to produce some old Soviet and Chinese tanks.

At the same time we're struggling to reopen our tuna can factory. :mjcry:

Sudan has been producing some nice light weapons lately, but its gonna take time before enough is supplied for the 150,000+ army. Sudan is the 3rd largest local arms manufacturer in Africa after Egypt and South Africa. These were from IDEX 2017 Dubai

Many rifles produced in Sudan were found in many parts across Africa from Cote Divoire to South Sudan.

LMAO Somalia just needs to get into the game

Africans spend more on military than on food, infrastructure or education. Smh

Seems like Africa was not too dissimilar to Europe in the early-modern period. Prussia was poorer than her contemporaries in the 18th century, yet had one of the most effective armies in Europe at the time.
But where 20 or 30 per cent was the norm elsewhere, the Prussian army regularly accounted for as much as three-quarters of public expenditure — and that in times of profound peace. In political, social and cultural terms as well, Prussia was generally recognized by its neighbours as centring on its army to a degree unknown elsewhere. Finally, that military focus seemed to be widely accepted at all levels and in all corners of a Prussia whose subjects were by any discernible standard no less content than those of other states.
