Success has nothing to do with high level education its to do with being financially free!

Why do you think these guys go into higher level of education in the first place? its because of money everything resolves around money

The western governments don't want you to be self providing and not needing of them that's why from young age they want you to go to higher education and get you into debt paying them back..... for those in London notice how smart indians and pakistanis are? how they have all the business and pass it down to kids? once their kid finishes even high school they just get him into the business its all about generational wealth! they already clocked on to the fact high level education does nothing for you

Option one

PHD Level man with 60 k debt no house 35 years old works in a job nothing to do with his degree working all day like a donkey listing to orders by his boss this is success in life? lol

option two

High school leaver who is business minded has a property on his name has few different streams of income coming in is financially free can go holiday when he wants buys what he wants looks the part....

No sane person would go for option 2 and just to add from anther thread option 2 wouldn't want a woman the same because he already has money and is the boss he looks for other things option 1 would probably need a woman with loads of money because he failed in life can not make money!

Not everyone will have a functioning business making you money to feed your family and also save, theres alot of people who take that route and go broke then close down their business for example during the pandemic alot of the self owned shops and businesses closed down around my area with the owners going broke taking relief checks from the government.

Getting a higher education in the right field like trades will get you a job you can level up in much faster than taking your chances with a self owned business and no degree backing you. Also not everyone takes student loans its all about how your parents planned, most refugees and immigrants have their kids taking loans because they didn't prepare well enough. I know of a lot of white dudes & chinese guys who had a university bank account from when they were born having their parents put it in for the kid later to use.

The PHD level guy will have a good paying job to live a normal live renting an affordable place that he can cover. Most of the homes you see people say they bought all came from mortgages which is also a loan id rather rent than do this. Graduating with your bachelors you shouldve been looking for a job to save cash for your masters so you don't fully take a loan and only a grant. My sister worked for 3 years after she finished her undergraduate to save money up for her masters, when she was ready she took a grant from the government that she didn't have to pay off and finished without a dollar in debt.

Education helps. Mind over matter. Education makes u work less harder than a person without education.

But the trick is--which i have learnt "Too late"

Start saving from youth, by the time u r in your 40s, u will be well off.

Even in Quran u r instructed not to be a spendthrift. Your little high school graduate salary can save good halaal money over time. Just save!!

Business is Baraaaka of course. You are ahead of the game. A family business training the kids is even better! Mashalaah

Even self-made millionaires who become successful through businesses push their kids to have degrees or similar qualifications . Why? Because not everyone has the skills to build successful 6 to 7 figure businesses. Some people don't have the business savvy adeptness or ideas to set the wheels on motions. Also, in order to set yourself apart from your competitors, you still need to educate yourself through self learning.

Also, you fail to take note that a lot of those smart Indians and Pakistanis you're mentioning are probably more education obsessed than the average Somali. They too push their children towards higher learning.

At the end of the day, learning is key, although going to university isn't necessary its still a great option. Furthermore, key skills that are needed in a community such as medicine, the sciences and engineering can only be obtained through university. As Somalis we should be encouraging our boys and girls to enter these fields as our nation is poor and developing, we need all the brilliant minds that have STEM degrees to shape our young nation.

I say, we need to have a moderate approach. Lets encourage our kids to be business oriented, whilst also instilling in them a love of learning. Even within the business world, its the men and women who research and read, have discipline that are able to turn their businesses into thriving companies.

they push them to degrees because they dont want them to be lazy and feed of them not because they think its best thing

The people who make the most money are people in business

Tell me how can some poverty-stricken Abdi in a 1st world ghetto became a successful business man?

It would be far easier for him to get an degree in a demand industry and live life a simple life.

Thats a lie most asians are acc broke its just the ones who arent are the ones who stand out, in actuality most have like 10 ppl living in one house grinding or work at a corner shop or something like that, plus the kids that inherit the buisness usually fail all of their higher education bc they have a fall back option.
higher education is 100" overrated tho

You should really be looking at upper class white ppl, how do they stay upper class, they have knowledge of the economy, and stuff like that, so thei kids have enough knowledge to stay rich.what we really need is as a community to have ppl who earn alot of money and understand the way the system works to teach the community so the children can go out their and learn how to make money whether its through buisness investment degree etc...
generational wealth stops when the children dk wth they r doing, u want to maek money machines not just pass on wealth

You don't have to be heavily in debt to do your PhD. You realize one can easily apply for scholarships and get access to other funding opportunities. Also, you make it seem like you must work in the ivory tower of academia. You don't. You can be a consultant. And you can leverage your skills. Why do you have to disparage those who want to pursue one? If they are passionate about their area of research and great at what they do allow it. It is not like you are locked in for life.

No one is saying your merit or value must come from what you do or your accolades alone. It comes from who you are and the benefits you give to others informally or formally. Whatever endeavor you decide on requires sweat equity and pivoting. And you can be enterprising no matter your social location or educational background.
