Sure Ottomans made a lot of blunders and were too lax that caused them to collapse but the Arabs were the same as well. The only proper Arab one were the Rashidun and the early Umayyads, aka the generation that lived through Sahaba times.

Ottomans realised they were fucked and tried to modernise but it was too little too late. Had they not been brought into ww1 by the young Turks they could've consolidated what they had left of the empire and modernised. Especially with oil being discovered in Arabia.
