Firstly, Islamically we shouldn't even be going on dates.

If a woman goes on an outing with a man with the presence of her mahram or other people to keep it halal, the man not paying is incredibly ceeb.

Finances are a sensitive topic. But as Muslims, we know the laws, and should stick to them. The man is to provide, within his means. Food, clothing, shelter and of course, physical intimacy.
Shaykul Islam even said that, a woman's right to physical satisfaction is greater than food, because if she wants, she can spend from her wealth to buy food, but her physical needs are different. This of course is the view of a very well known scholar, that we should consider and respect. How much is a date in Somalia? It can’t be that expensive.

Even when I go out on dates in America or am hanging out with friends or family member I always pay. Hell I don’t even go out unless I got it like that. Does that make me a simp? No. It makes me the leader of the group.
