As someone who has dated a man from another culture, I can 100% tell you that when you set the standard from the beginning, they will definitely cover for expenses and not expect 50/50.

i've noticed its only black women that do this sorta stuff, every nonblack i've taken out has offered to pay for the bill and I even though I don't 50/50 I still heavily respect those more than the ones that stuck their hand out. same with all my friends. just because you offer to pay doesn't make you have 'lower standards'.
