Firstly, Islamically we shouldn't even be going on dates.
If a woman goes on an outing with a man with the presence of her mahram or other people to keep it halal, the man not paying is incredibly ceeb.

Hey you forgot to look at the otherside there are many women especially in Africa who take advantage of men! They date multiple men and use them for their money, even naming them on their phones 'Food guy', 'Shopping guy', 'Taxi guy' etc etc. So many men are being careful now and demanding Halimos to pay their half for the first date. Women in Africa take advantage of men as society is unstable and to make it worse its sexist. Women don't even have the privileges to provide for themselves, to be honest even the men struggle.

Just because i'm able to make money, doesn't mean Allah hasn't designed that I a woman carries a baby, gives birth, breast feeds, goes through health conditions due to this and the list goes on. Also, motherhood actually lessons the amounts of money a woman makes, whilst men's salaries tend to increase.

I've never gone out with a girl and made her pay. But I've also never gone out with a girl who openly says she's talking to multiple guys.

I see what you're saying, but that is more of an issue back home but that is mostly because of how difficult life is in Somalia and women have even lower opportunities there.
