Ibn Sa’di said in his Tafseer (434):
i.e., do not admire them in such a way that you will distracted with desire for the worldly pleasures enjoyed by those who live in luxury and by which the ignorant are deceived. You should be content with that which Allaah has given you of the seven oft-repeated verses and the Holy Qur’aan (cf. al-Hijr 15:87). End quote.
He also said (p. 516):
i.e., do not be impressed and do not look repeatedly admiring worldly pleasures and those who are enjoying them, such as delicious food and drink, fine clothing, beautiful houses and adorned women, for all of that is the adornment of this world in which those who are deceived rejoice. And those who do wrong enjoy it by ignoring the Hereafter. But it will all soon end and cease to be, and those who love it will die, then they will regret when regret will be to no avail, and they will realize the state they are in when the Resurrection begins. Allaah has made it a test and a trial, so that it may be known who will be deceived by it and who will be better in deeds. End quote.

The scholars have mentioned many benefits of lowering the gaze, including the following:
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in al-Jawaab al-Kaafi (125):
There are a number of benefits in lowering the gaze:
1 – It is obedience to the command of Allaah, which brings happiness to man in this world and in the next. There is nothing more beneficial to a person in this world and in the next than obeying the commands of his Lord, may He be blessed and exalted, and those who are happy in this world and the next can only attain that happiness by obeying His commands, and those who are doomed in this world and in the next are only doomed because they ignore His commands.
2 – It prevents the poisoned arrows (of the shaytaan), which may lead to his doom, from reaching his heart.
3 – It creates a heart that is devoted to and focused on Allaah. Letting the gaze wander distracts the heart and keeps it far from Allaah. There is nothing more harmful to a person than letting his gaze wander, as it creates alienation between a person and his Lord.
4 – It strengthens the heart and brings it peace, just as letting the gaze wander weakens it and makes it sad.
5 – It brings light to the heart, just as letting the gaze wander brings darkness to it. Hence Allaah mentioned the verse of light immediately after the command to lower the gaze, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts…”
[al-Noor 24:30]
Then straight after that He says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Allaah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His Light is as (if there were) a niche and within it a lamp”
[al-Noor 24:35]

Draco great to see u have manned up, you know to separate god view on him and your own views as a human being on him and his contribution to humanity topics that are clearly shared between us. Judge the man from your side of mankind, not his soul. His beef was with god, let god handled that beef but between u and him you can only judge based on his life here with you.
He was just a man, ultimately I will remember his ideas which is what we really use.
We still haven't ended our sparring session in the science section. Time-Space-Matter-Gravity-Cosmic conditions(heat, cold, gases) as those needs to present before anything ever forms in our universe. Now what's the sequence waryaa or is there any sequence or was it all linked at the beginning the physic laws as they say? And waryaa we haven't even discussed nothingness topic which I brought up in other thread with cicina responding childishly. Is there anything called nothingness? we just transform into different states based on environmental conditions present.
For example bury a body right now come back after a million years he will be amongst the dust and soil lol a non living state. Apply high temperate to a body like cremation and it turns to ashes, throw one into a freezer for a million years and find what u come back too. Bury one between rocks and come back to analyze the fossil and see it's become apart of the rock itself.
If we accept we transform to non living states, why is it we can't accept we tranform between living states which are far closer to us then non living states. The other question is, does anything really ever disappear in this world into nothingness? is there a peremiter of nothingness which is what we seen to assume like cicina does.
Nothing just pops out in and out of existence sxb, it all changes. Take away the earth and it will leave remants of energy in the space possibly form as a dark energy or dark matter depending on the decomposition process or it bits and piece of it will go flying through space like asteroids and gets slammed into other planets and joins them or even joins a black hole. Or if the sun extinguishes it, it will transform itself just like we transform ourselves when burned into ashes. Nothing just disappears as cicina wants us to believe not observable evidences anyways and through emperical tests as cangeero and me do, it's not speculation or some mathatmatical theory that is unproven. Just because something is possible in maths, doesn't mean it's true. It's possible to reach astounding speeds but we don't exactly observe that in the earth do we?
I hold a strong view everything that exists transforms into something else and doesn't just pop up and out of existence as these speculative people want us to believe. Hence why I asked cicina to define to me what is nothingness and she simply couldn't hence we can't apply a test to something she doesn't even want to clearly say what it is. If we don't know what nothingness is then it's pointless testing it with existence.
I think it's even a law and it's clearly observable waryaa.

@CangeeroBear my point basically is if we know everything transforms to something else, what's to say it won't transform to something else when u take away everything we know to be existence? unless we define what nothingness is and it's laws, there's no way to even comprehend or test against it. Some say empty space is nothingness but that is clearly something. What happens when u take away space knowing the law things transform? that's what I mean. I am really trying to wonder what nothingness looks like and it's pointless discussing something u dont know what it is in the first place. Hence @cinina claim things start from nothing and pop into existence it doesn't sit well with me and I think after you respond it probably won't with u either.
But then again I am sure her religious views will give u answers on your quantum mechanics problem kkkkkk, as you can see why people tend to dismiss them sxb from areas of reason, but they keep coming back n back and never giving answers that you can take and apply to your quantum problem, hence u just dismiss them in the end.
