I guess asking is procedural but trust is the cornerstone of a relationship. I realize it might be challenging to find a man that abstained all his life in other words an experential match. But if not the individual should be responsible, honest and with good judgement.

I would not do a test because I live in accordance with my ethos and I expect whoever I end up with to get that.

Also, sis, you are worthy of a man that understands and lives - fidelity.

I think every Somali marriage should be handled like the British monarchy or any other European monarchy. Bride teeth checked, legs spread to check stds and virginity. At this rate, any trip to Africa:

Most people will just end up with the STD/AIDs, because 1) The wife will most likely be none the wiser 2) most men would rather have her get what he has than tell her and be honest. 3) A lot of STI/Ds have latent periods where even he wouldn’t know he had it.
