I doesn't look like the Starlink satellites are geostationary

They're not but no orbit sounds promising for Somalia.

Those in the ocean are heading towards india.

Wonder what the latency is on a
return ping from Kismayo to Bosaaso using a territerial line.

A geostationary satellite tens of thousands of miles away might end up providing a faster connection.
