They are looking for the answer of the last line. Redo it with attention to signs and order of operation. You will be set with your answer. Many people got it wrong. Attention is the key to solving it. And the total is not required. I think whoever devised the test knew people will make assumptions and miss details of the puzzle.

I got it wrong twice. Tramo was nice taking me through the puzzle. Guess he taught lots of attention deficit kids as a volunteer. Pays off to be cool like him.
