Spicy food

I just realised that most somalis can handle really spicy food. Although i'm certain it's not a part of our ancient diet, yet many somalis can handle spicy food really well as opposed to other races. Why is this? we don't have any spicy dishes so how can we be so used to spice?

I on the other hand cannot eat spicy food in public, since my nose becomes runny.

What about you? an you handle spicy food?

:hmm:

Somali bisbas is very spicy if we can handle that we can pretty much anything. Also there are a lot of spices in Somali food sxhb especially in our stews. Also remember Sambusas are filled with spices. Yeah I can handle spicy food but my stomach can't sxhb. I be having diahrea after feasting at a Mexican taco shop. Eating California burrito, filled tostadas, Carne Asada fries, and mixed that with red and green sauce . Say rest in peace to your bathroom sxhb

I’m not a huge fan of it but I can get use to spicy food after awhile

I can’t tolerate spicy food. I have a Somali cousin who eats jalapeño as a snack.
I can't eat spicy food around ppl especially not a girl i'm seeing.

I love spicy food. Creole is my favorite American style of cuisine. My mum cooks with adobo and creole seasonings. I use jalapeno peppers in everything I cook. Habanero peppers are good in spaghetti .
