I was in class today and helped out a guy with some stuff he was struggling to understand. At the end of class, he turns to me and says "You came in clutch.", and offers a fist bump. I awkwardly celebrate, and am left speechless. What does "you came in clutch" mean?
What exactly is this new fangled slang? Gen Z, explain what the hell do ya'll speak because it's not making sense.

It is rather handy, say if you were on a packed train, and wanted to engage in a bit of badinage, or whisper in a mate's King Lear, or share a giraffe on the slide en route to the nuclear; surely, you do not want to look like a right old ice cream. See, what I did there.

Thank you for the translation of slang, I'm not too up to date with the slang of today. It frustrates me though, why can't people simply say the words instead of that garbled way of speaking. Are humans really this lazy?
