NGL I hate it when people generalize Somalis to be slavers. There were a small amount of Enslaved people in the South and only certain Qaabils really partook in that.

My northern Family has nothing to do with the slave trade. It’s sad many Somalis get stereotyped with this history when most Somalis were even involved. What benefit will a nomad, explored, or fisherman get from slave trading?
I'm not saying that Somalis specifically were slavers. I'm saying that the attitude stems from the racial attitudes of Horners and Middle Easterners towards black people. There's a reason this attitude is basically consistent throughout the entire region. Just look at Mauritania, a country where the country is literally run under a nigh-South Africa style apartheid system where the Beidane (literally Whites in Arabic) dominate the country and treat the Haratines and other Madows in the country as lesser.

He’s not Somali.

I think I’ve seen his account on r/Sudan subreddit.
he could just be a somali who also larps in r/sudan too, there are many somali larpers on reddit. I could be wrong but he sounds too much like a very specific kind of internet faraax. Sudani arabs can be much more racist than us but they generally have no specific fixations on terms like bantu and importantly view us as black and the same as bantu, racist sudani call all of us africans abeed, may they be horner or bantu and would not put himself in the same category as us from my experience, especially northern more lightskinned sudani, which is what he claims to be.

Somalis don’t get stereotyped with being slave owners. Its only us that point it out

The Somali obsession with hair texture online is annoying. Yea we got softer hair than other Africans. So what. Our countries are still shitty and mostly unliveable. Let’s talk about things that actually matter

I won’t deny that most Sudani Arabs are pretty racist and obviously don’t care about things like Bantu because we don’t have Bantus in our countries don’t make much distinction between Africans but I think there’s a significant amount in the West that see themselves as having some connection to Horners. A lot of the Sudani attitude towards Darfuris is similar to Somali attitude towards Bantus. As is some fixation on hair types, obviously not as prevalent as Somalis but still present and etc

It’s embarrassing. Despite our so-called long hair and thin noses, our countries are poorer than multiple West African nations are are definitely a lot more unstable as well, yet we have the audacity to look down on them. It’s like some Somalis are clinging on to featurism for dear life as they don’t have anything else going on for them.

Never have I seen a group of people so proud at the fact that some of their countrymen owned slaves in the past and boast about it like it’s some badge of honour.

There will be a video talking about slavery in Africa and some deranged farax will be in comments saying sh*t like:
“Well aKsUaLly, we were never enslaved but infact we did the enslaving”
