Sadly we entered the west as nomadic refugees, we need to understand before the civil war the majority of somalis were living like a nomad, very few were living in the cities. So it makes sense why we don't hear or see many wealthy Somalis. It will take at least 40 years to see a wealthy generation, but I honestly think we will see many mixed somalis since our population in the west isn't as many compared with Pakitsanis and Indians and when we mix out that child will most likely breed with a foreigner. We won't see a strong united Somali by than and we will share our wealth with ajanbis, sad truth.
I'd feel uncomfortable passing down an inheritance to grandkids that don't even look somali.

Actually, if you consider quantifiable measures, and study determinant factors, economic or otherwise, in direct correlation to the lengthy of period Somalis have been in the West, in close comparison with ethnicities of similar backgrounds, you will discover, Somali have done remarkably well in some areas. Let me ask you: which factors have you considered? Which areas have you studied? Which communities of similar backgrounds have you compared?
Have u been to USA?????? Minnesota? Somalis are cashing like its 1999
Again, like with like; Syrian are the highest educated people in the entire Middle East, and are not comparable to nomadic Somalis.
It is as if some of you lack rationality in critical thought, and are still in high school.

Location location location, I have cousins where the older siblings grew up in government housing and became low lifes and their younger siblings who grew up in the suburbs due to their father getting a better job they went to uni and became professionals. The siblings don't even speak the same
I agree with you. Somalis like to act as if being in the west since the 90s is recent, it is not. We have been established here for almost 4 decades there is no excuse for our widespread poverty. We need to start practicing controlled immigration, allowing 68iqs from baadiyo to migrate to America was a terrible idea. Their offsprings are all gangbangers and security guards. Most Somalis I interact with on a day to day basis are incredibly stupid which explains our current situation
Explain how a refugee community that migrated to the west in the 90s needs 50 years to adjust economically but a refugee community from 2016 needs less than a decade. The reason we are in this state is because Somalis are dumb on average
Syrian refugees were more educated and wealthier than us.
Okay I will use another example. Refugees from Yemen, a country in similar economic state to us have outperformed us in a shorter amount of time. Do you understand why? Why are we in need of so much time but other refugee groups arent. Ask yourself these questions and eventually you will find the true answer
