Somalis not bearing ethnic Somali names

Explain to me why are Somalis on here so anti Somali name and culture on here and no i have no respect for Somalis who do not bare a Somali name.

Spelling of my surname apparently is super common in Eastern Europe and Jews too. If it was spelt differently, it might be vaguely Somali but not explicitly.

What’s wrong with Muslim people having Muslim names?

My first and last name’s Islamic and I love them.

I don’t agree with the trend of Somalis using Arab names with no link to Islam. But nothing wrong with Muslim names.

Do you find that knowing the meaning or person (who you are named after ) affected you in some way?

For me it greatly influenced me and increased my confidence.
